I just got back from a weekend in Sarasota and dived for the first time with Al Franklin and his son Trip at Florida Down Under. It was by far one of the most nicest days of diving I have ever had! Their choice of dive sites was excellent and they were extremely helpful and friendly. If you are ever in the Sarasota area, I would highly recommend them. I just got back from a wonderful experience in Sarasota. My wife needed to get her open water dives done, and we arranged to dive with Florida Down Under. The owner, Al Franklin and his son, Trip, the Instructor were great. My wife was very apprehensive, and in fact blew one of her skills. Trip was extremely supportive, but never relaxed the standards. He and another Divemaster took my wife out for an additional dive to give her the opportunity to get certified ( and she did this time ). That meant a lot to me, having driven almost a thousand miles from Maryland for this trip. As an instructor myself in hazardous activities, I very much appreciate and respect the way Trip and Al spent the extra time and effort, but
