VALUE STATEMENT

Value should be the most important thing anyone should look for when purchasing anything. Yes, Value is more important than cost.

The SCUBA class you receive at FDU is the best that you can possibly get anywhere, anytime and at any cost. FDU has the finest instructors anywhere, period. We have the largest staff of instructors in the area, we have the highest level and most experienced instructors, and we have female instructors.

FDU is a pioneer in diving instruction. One of our Course Directors ( John O'Hanlon ) was instrumental in the development of today's PADI Modular Scuba course. We required the use of alternate air sources before it became an industry standard. FDU was the first in this area to offer continuing education and still offers more continuing education classes than anyone else. We are the only dive operator to be featured in "Dive Industry News" ( an International dive publication ). Another of our Course Directors (Al Franklin ) won PADI prestigious Instructor Merit Award and is listed in numerous "Who's Who" Publications.  We hold the PADI Gold Palm Five Star  rating ( the only dive operator in the area to do so ).

Most dive operators offer you only one boat trip in their class - they make you drive across the state ( at your cost ) to dive in a "lake" or have you drag your equipment ( and self ) down to some beach to dive in the sand. FDU offers all of your open water dives ( 4 ) from our custom dive boat. We teach in a heated pool.
