We have recovered fossilized shark teeth to 6 inches from the water off of Venice, Florida, where we keep our charter boat, the Giant Stride. Venice, FL, has long been recognized as the Shark Tooth Capital of the World. These teeth make great collectables and some of the large ones sell for over a thousand dollars.

Other prehistoric fossils are often found: sting ray barbs, rib bones, inner ear bones, etc.

What a great way to spend time with the family looking for fossils. We offer daily ( both morning and afternoon ) shark teeth and fossil collecting charters. Custom charters can easily be arranged for your family and/or group. Don't miss this exciting activity when in this area.

Snorkel in water to 15' deep. The Scuba dives are generally in 30' of water. You don't have to have excellent visibility to hunt fossils since you are looking in a very small area.

A great way to have an exciting dive when the winds prevent offshore reef or wreck diving.
